Hi,it seems that on plaxis we can create a pile whith two methods but if I choose the line element does it contains an integrated or we have to create it as in volume elements .
Greetings .
if you use plate element you should add interface too.
in case of using embedded beam row element it has implemented interface element and you dont need to do any thing extra.you should just care about axial skin and tip pile resistance capacity.
Dear El-aifa,
I agree with Ahmad. Only the embedded beam contains special interface nodes by default. In the rest of the cases, you will need to define an interface.
How to create it for an element line pile (embedded pile )that have a diameter of 1m should I create a lateral surface whith 1 m diameter and create an interface on it , or a a lateral surface whith a very small diameter and and an interface basing on the element line 's small diameter
Greetings
An embedded beam (previously known as embedded pile) does not require any interface as it is already included in the formulation.
When you model the pile using volume elements, then you can decompose the volume into surfaces and assign interfaces on the lateral and bottom surfaces created.

Dear Stefanos
I want to ask, do you know the formulation of embedded beam in PLAXIS? or how can i get this information?
