Hello everyone,
I would like to ask what is the more effective way to model a continuous cylinder foundation which is increasing in diameter from the top to the bottom.
As an example we want to set the diameter at the top equal to 10 m whereas at the bottom 20 m.
Thank you in advance.
Dear Chris,
Could you please clarify what do you mean? How to do it geometrically?
If Yes, I think one of the simpliest way is to use cone command.
The description of this command you can find in Help menu → Command reference → Input commands reference → cone. Please, see Alternatives 4, 5 and 6 (a truncated cone). For example:
10 — bottom radius7 — height5 — top radiusfrom (0 0 0) point in direction (0 0 1)
The result:
Dear Rushan
