I am having trouble to explain mesh generation from boreholes in Plaxis Designer.
As inputs I used 4 boreholes with footprint (xi,yi) : (0,0),(0,500),(500,0),(500,500). I gave this surface a slight inclination on X axis. When surface is generated from boreholes, I get an slight inclination on Y axis too.
I did some research on Constrained mesh but still not able to explain this anomaly.
I am really interested to know more about the interpolation approach that Plaxis use.
I would appreciate if I get an explanation on this.

The interpolation is based on the "Natural Neighbors" technique. A web search for that term yields a good amount of information.
