Dear Nitha,

The question is too general. It depends on the problem, soil, initial field conditions etc (the list is long). However, if you are interested to find out which parameter affects deflection much, I would advice you to use plaxis inbuilt sensitivity and parameter variation,on tool. This will show at a certain selected node, the most influential parameter.

Dear Mr. Martin,

No problem, just share some ideas you have which will help me a lot (In Plaxis we can do the sensitivity analysis and find which is the most critical one, but before that, I need to know how each parameter is connected with each result like deflection etc. If I consider stiffness parameters that depend on the deflection but when it going into the plastic region then strength parameters come into action like that I need some relations).
