Hi!
I'm trying to run Plaxis through Python for a Monte-Carlo analysis for my thesis project. At the university I've managed to get the remote scripting sever up and running in Plaxis 2D, but at the office, where I have Plaxis 3D the "Remote Plaxis Service available" check mark does not appear. And I believe that is the cause of why I can't run my script.
Is this some kind of licensing issue or is the firewall or something blocking the server from running?
I'm very thankful for you help!
Regards
Jesper
Dear Jesper,
In your post, you do not mention the versions you are using, which matters in this case.
Currently, we do not experience any issues on the PLAXIS server side. I have confirmed that by checking with PLAXIS 3D 2018 which still uses the old servers:
Note that if you have the PLAXIS 3D CONNECT Edition version, that uses the Bentley servers therefore the option is not shown anymore. This also seems to work fine:
If you still have problems, please submit a service request so that we can investigate further: https://apps.bentley.com/srmanager/ProductSupport
Hi, thank you for a fast reply!
I'm using Plaxis 3D CONNECT Edition V21 update 1. Okay, I did not know that the "Remote Plaxis Service available" not were showing in the CONNECT Edition, and the communication error must be caused by something else. I will review my code once more and try to get it to communicate, otherwise i will get back to you.
No problem!
I would first check the error message in the Python run session to understand where it goes wrong.
