Hi all,
Is it possible to array a surface through a polycurve direction?
Thanks!
Hello Francesc,
It really depends on what you want to achieve, as PLAXIS offers various options here.
Can you send me a visual representation of what you mean?
Hello Stefanos,
I want to create cutting planes for the following tunnel every 10m in order to create concrete joints. These planes should be ortogonal to tunnel.
We can do it through CAD software but I am wondering if there is an option from plaxis directly.
I gave it a look and I would say that in this specific case the only way to have something similar would be if the tunnel was defined via the Tunnel Designer.
As I understand you have imported this geometry which would make the process of computing the normal of each surface quite tricky in PLAXIS, which is why I think you can continue doing that part on the CAD software.
Hi Stefanos,
We are trying to do the same through tunnel designer but we have one question. Regarding tunnel trajectory reference manual explains that imported polycurves (*.dxf, *.step,...) should be positioned only in x-y plane. Then, how can we do it if trajectory have elevation variations. Thanks
