Strain-weakening soil

Hello,

I would like to model the long-term deterioration of a cut slope in high-plasticity clay similar to what is described in this paper - https://reader.elsevier.com/reader/sd/pii/S0013795220318093?token=6B2199B29F36D1E4AAA42E25B2DADFB91DD1547C8754394A2584DBB64076FD21D5244229319DEEC1131C17858DFFCF67&originRegion=eu-west-1&originCreation=20220324143715.

The researchers here used FLAC which has a strain-softening material model where the *strength* of the material reduces with strain. This allows the material to be modelled with peak and residual strength (see Fig.4 in the linked paper). I have searched this site and made enquiries internally and can't find any examples of similar analysis being undertaken in Plaxis.

So I am opening up this question to the wider user-community - does such a material model exist in Plaxis? And/or is there an example of such an analysis being undertaken using Plaxis?

Thank you,

Rebecca
