&lt;p&gt;I also have a similar issue. As you can see in the picture, there is a tunnel which continues beyond the blue plate. Behind the blue plate, there is concrete volume for a certain thickness, thereafter it is the soil till the end of model. But I can see there is a certain protrusion of soil when the soil is being excavated as shown in second picture. As a result in the output I can see a bit of soil protruding into the tunnel lining plate although the tunnel lining plate completely continues from the blue plate to the end of model. The excavation stage also converges. What can be the reason for this protrusion as a result, soil ingression although it is not modelled in the staged construction. Can you please help ?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There can be several reasons for this, but the most common ones are:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;- An interface below the plate with a low value of Rinter (Rinter &amp;lt; 0.5)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;- A very soft subsoil&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;- It&amp;#39;s in fact not penetrating, but you&amp;#39;re plotting it with a high scale factor so that it looks like it&amp;#39;s penetrating the soil.&lt;/p&gt;
