Hi,
I output the desired plots for all phases in Python, per guidance as summarized so succinctly in the article.
https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotech-analysis/w/plaxis-soilvision-wiki/45549/export-and-format-plots-from-plaxis-output
However, the export of plots is pretty slow and I remember I read it somewhere I can set the 'controller' in such a way PLAXIS output won't refresh/regenerate the visualisation for each phase but directly export to the required image file, which will speed up the export process?
Does anyone remember how to do this?
Cheers
Dear Xiang,
Hiding the controllers is only possible in PLAXIS Input, but not in PLAXIS Output.
When exporting a lot of graphs, it is good practise to limit phase or step switching, as this is in the current Output program the most time-critical. Say you want to export a plot of deformed mesh, |u| and excess pore pressure, first switch the phase, and then export the three plots before switching to the next step. Some other visualizations that you do not need can also make the phase switching slower, as the shown nodes/stress points, and their info box with the number info in it.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,

Thank you. That makes sense.
