What is the value of force in KN generated when some prescribed displacement is given. i.e. value of Fy in KN
The parameters Force Fx, Fy, and for PLAXIS 3D Fz, are the total reaction forces of the applied prescribed displacements in the respective direction.

Dear Sir,
This is to inform that I have gone through this blog but the thing is that I want to plot force vs displacement graph of an axisymmetric condition in excel sheet. I have copied the data from PLAXIS 2D model, now the value is given in KN/m but I want it to be in KN now I want to know what meters of length I have to multiply to get the value in KN
Hello Micha, what is the python code to get the reaction force Fy in a 2D model? I could not find it in the reference.
Dear Chetana,
You can also check a similar example we have: https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotech-analysis/w/plaxis-soilvision-wiki/45556/plaxis-2d-tutorial-01-settlement-of-a-circular-footing-on-sand
Practically you need to multiply by 2π.
Hello Sarah,
I will explain how you can find it.
Practically you see this value in the Phases window, right? So, that is part of the Phases object.
Therefore, a first step would be to do an
echo Phase_1
This will give you all the information for that phase. If you search you will find the force y you are looking for.
With this you can find that it belongs to the:
Phase_1.Reached
So, another time you can run an echo on that and see the properties that belong where. And there is where you will find the property name.
Hello
I need to replace this line of code to plot a curve within a "For Loop"
uyAs.append(g_o.getcurveresults(g_o.Nodes[0],step,g_o.ResultTypes.Soil.Uy))
Can I use this?
uyAs.append(g_o.getcurveresults(g_o.Nodes[0],Phase_1,Phase_1.Reached.ForceY))
