3D to 2D conversion

Hi all, Currently, I am using a plane strain model. In the model, the soil parameters that I am using are from my laboratory and field results. 
 
 Since I am using a plane strain model (2D), do I need to convert the input soil parameters? If I need to convert them, is there any technique or procedure to follow? Thanks and regards, Mihimal.

Dear Mihimal, 
 Almost all constitutive models used in PLAXIS are implemented in 3D space, which means that they can be used as they are in both PLAXIS 2D and PLAXIS 3D. 
 So, nothing special should be done or conversion. 
 The constitutive models that are not shared as clearly specified in our manuals or other provided documentation.
