Dear All,
Regarding the Plaxis output Deformations> Rotations Φz and ∆Φz.
I was checking the rotations output of the plate materials modelled as elastoplastic,
out of Φz and ∆Φz, which one is the plastic rotation/elastic rotation?
What is the difference between Φz and ∆Φz.

Hi Jamal,
These two results correspond to the total rotation (φz) and the incremental rotation (Δφz) of the selected plates with respect to the global axes. Please refer to Chapter 9.4.1 (Deformation in structures and interfaces) of PLAXIS 2D - Reference manual.
Dear Vaselios,
How can I differentiate between, plastic and elastic rotaions?
PLAXIS shows only the total (elastic+plastic) deformations/rotations for structural elements in Output. You can, however, try to calculate the plastic (hinge) rotation manually. Alternatively, you can check whether the plate element reaches plasticity by checking whether its yield function (|N/Np| + |M/Mp| < 1) is violated.
Thank you Mr. Vaselios, this has been really helpful. I am grateful.
