So basically what I'm doing is running the seepage analysis of an earthen embankment
I'm analysing the flow rate and other related parameters and I'm using Plaxis 2D advanced.
Most of the tutorial uses Plaxis ultimate Edition.
I'm have completed modeling it using the soil polygon tool and using the drain tool to define a drain on the bottom right of the dam .
Whatever I try doing, I'm not able to define the phreatic line and I'm not getting the flow analysis option in staged construction- initial phase.
The tutorial uses the PLAXIS 2d Ultimate license as the analysis uses the Fully coupled flow-deformation calculation type. However, with the PLAXIS 2D Advanced you can still do a Steady-state groundwater flow analysis, which is also explained in the example.
I am not sure what you mean that you cannot define the Phreatic line. Have you drawn one in the Flow conditions and it does not appear?Have you applied a groundwater flow boundary conditions on the model boundaries as Head and do not see it being applied?
