I would like to ask the question. now we are doing the 3D seepage analyses for an earth dams with Plaxis LE (Groundwater). So the 3D earth dam model was created by SVDESIGNER then export to Plaxis LE (Groundwater). But we want to know the principal stress in dam as well. How we can export model to other module? Because, the last time before Plaxis LE move to Bentley, it was Soilvision. There is SVSOLID to obtain the stress.
Note: I am using Plaxis LE V21.06.
PLAXIS 2D LE and PLAXIS 3D LE is a new license that provides you with all the features of the previous products SVSLOPE, SVFLUX, and the large-strain consolidation (LSC) feature of SVSOLID. Other 2D SVSOILD and 3D SVSOLID analysis features have been deprecated as a more comprehensive feature set is available with a PLAXIS 2D and 3D license.More information here:https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotech-analysis/w/plaxis-soilvision-wiki/52901/plaxis-connect-edition-v21-licensing-changes-for-plaxis-le
Please submit a Service Request so we can assist you with your PLAXIS licensing options and offer some specific tips on our tools to couple seepage with stress analysis.
I saw the Plaxis Consolidation, they provided the settlements and total stressed only. we're using Plaxis LE not only to simulate the seepage behavior of dams. But we also need to analyze the stress behavior of soil or rock foundations in dams.
So I have tried to find another way. It need to use Plaxis 3D. So we are taking into consideration about the difference mesh between two modules/softwares. It couldn't use SVSOLID, which have already been deprecated, like last time that we can export the model and analyze in term of stress strain behavior. Could you please give any suggestions about this?
Thanks for your support.
PLAXIS consolidation analysis can output principal stresses too. There is no interoperability between SVSOLID and PLAXIS 3D. There is, however, interperability between PLAXIS 2D and PLAXIS LE for slope stability projects as described in the following links:https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotech-analysis/w/plaxis-soilvision-wiki/54463/how-to-run-a-limit-equilibrium-method-analysis-from-plaxis-2d

Thanks for your information. You have at least confirmed that Plaxis Consolidation can be used to identify principal stresses. I'll try to study more.
This answer helped me. Thanks for your support and your time.
