Hi everyone,
Thank you in advance for helping out.
I understand that the incremental displacement by default is the displacement at the last step of the current calculation phase. My question is how to get the displacement value for each calculation step and export them out?
Thank you
Hello Francis,
The incremental displacements are displacements that occur at the step you currently inspect in Output. By default, the view is on Phases, which is then by default pointing to the last step of that phase, but you can change that as described in the article below:
https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotech-analysis/w/wiki/45553/inspect-intermediate-step-results-in-plaxis-output
You can use the command line to get the values of the displacements or use Python scripting to be able to use them outside PLAXIS. The commands available are quite a few depending on the result and details can be found in our Command reference, under Help menu. Commands such as getresults, getcurveresults, getsingleresult, getcrosssectionresults, getcurveresultspath can be used.
About Python our Wiki page contains various examples:https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotech-analysis/w/wiki/45393/api-python-scripting---plaxis
And here's one for deformations: https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotech-analysis/w/wiki/45451/output-scripting-example-get-heave-of-excavation-bottom

Hi Stefanos,
Really appreciate your help! It worked.
