It is possible to put the unit weight of that material to zero, but whether that constitutes a problem or not, there is no way for me to judge it. But, again, you are asking me a closed-ended question about something I have no information on.The best way to see if that parameter affects the outcome of your analysis is to run a calculation with and without weight and compare the results.
The segments are a ring (circler caisson) that uses in tunnels, I modeled these rings as volumes, it is possible to put (γ = 0) with no problems?thank you so much
I am afraid I did not understand what you mean by "segment elements", but I am assuming that you mean plate elements.You can set the unit weight of a plate to zero (γ = 0) but keep the stiffness properties (E, d ≠ 0).
