Colormap normalization in output

Question

Dear All, 
 Thanks for your help in advance. I am working on mapping the color shown in the output page to the actual represented values (stress or strain), under the guidance of the color bar at the right hand side. 
 The first thing I need to know is how plaxis defines the colormap in the output page? I went over the manual but did not find it. Could some help me out?

Hi Francis 
 PLAXIS divides the complete range in a number of intervals. You can see this in the legend settings, (accessible via the menu or double-click the legend). 
 Sometimes, visual mapping is challenging, so there are two alternatives: 
 
 Change to contour lines 
 Or use the hint box (the blue button with the I in it: ) so your mouse pointer shows the value at that location.
