 In Plaxis 3D tutorial (V20.04), why they have mentioned specifically the Phase_3 as failure mechanism is devloping?

Hi, 
 I don't really understand your question. In Phase 3 it can be seen from the incremental displacements that a failure mechanism is developing, and now you're asking why that is mentioned? Well, because it's important to see that after undrained construction the embankment is close to failure. Which can be seen from the fact that a failure mechanism is already developing.
