I had already thought about the F_z of the rigid body. But I still have some questions:

1 - When I use a rigid body, assumming it is activated, what is the difference between deactivating the soil cluster, and keeping it activated at the same time as the rigid body? Does my rigid body become deformable? What is the approach suggested?

2 - If I use the F_z to represent the self-weight, do I need to update it in every phase where the rigid body is activated?

Thanks in advance,

With my best regards,

Which self-weight are you referring to here? Is it the one from the soil cluster you deactivate or the one from the structure simulated by the rigid body?
In any case, you can add a vertical force (Fz) to the rigid body to compensate for any missing self-weights.
