Dear All
I have modeled piled raft foundation which piles modeled as volume pile while raft modeled as plate element. To simulate soil - structure interaction, I created interface to both raft and piles.
In my understanding, correct me if I'm wrong, the connections between raft and piles are not fully rigid since there are interface with reduction of Rinter value between piles and raft.
How can I make rigid connection between pile and raft?

Hello Samsudin,
You may create a surface of the raft that excludes the top surface of the piles, then create the interface of this raft surface only. So, there is no interface between the raft and piles in your model and they are in rigid connection.

Do you mean, I need to have openings on the raft's surface at the position of piles? can you suggest me any tool or technic?
