Hi - I have noticed that in plx additional options have been introduced when importing dxf into plx. Unfortunately the adapted procedure works incorrectly, resulting in a situation where incomplete geometry is imported into plaxis. I can provide a dxf to make it more reliable
Przekroj22_all.dxf
Hi Grzegorz, Importing the dxf file to PLAXIS 2D gives a warning that some of the geometric objects in the source data were not on the xy-plane and, thus, were not imported. Checking the import log gave similar information (see below).
However, I was able to import the dxf file in PLAXIS 3D, although, as you can see from the selection, the points are not on the same X-coordinate. This hints that, indeed, the lines are not lying on the same plane.
I didn't get the chance to open your file in a CAD package, but you may want to revisit your drawing and search/correct any geometric inconsistencies.
I know that geometries can be loaded in plaxis 3D. the first drawing showed correctly loaded geometry from dxf to plaxis 3I solved the problem by loading the geometry from dxf into plaxis 3D, and in plaxis 3D I changed the coordinates (z) to 0.0 (because it was 0.8E-6). next I imported a new dxf from 3d and loaded it into plaxis 2D.
I am happy you found a great workaround for avoiding CAD software and using PLAXIS instead.
