Good Morning DENNIS.Thank you very much for your kind response.
In fact, while I was oing the dynamic analysis, my boundaries disappear as if I didn't define them AT all.
When I read the reference manual of Plaxis 2D, it is said that I should apply " Compliant Base" boundary condition AT the base of the structure. But I don't know why I can't find this boundary condition eventhough I created an interface.I am using Plaxis 2D V20. Can you help me with this please.
Best Regards
Dear Sandrine,
You can set the compliant base in your dynamics calculation phase from the Model Explorer, choose the option Model Conditions -> Dynamics
But still you would have to put the boundary a lot lower than you've done in your model ....
With kind regards,
Dennis Waterman
Can you confirm that the Dynamics module and Geotechnical SELECT Entitlements are activated?
For more information on the (deprecated) legacy licenses check here: PLAXIS CONNECT Edition V20 Licenses [depricated]
Yes sir, the Dynamics license is activated
Dear Sandrine, the most important is that the Geotechnical SELECT Entitlements is active. Without that, you don't have compliant base and free field boundaries.
Okay sir I will check if it is activate
Good evening sir DENNIS and sir STEFANOS. In fact, I didin't activated de Geotechnical SELECT Entitlements option. Once I selected it, The compliant base boundary appeared.
But still, I am obtaining large displacements.I think I should add the depth of my foundation as sir DENIS said.
The base of my embankment is 344 m, how much can I use for the depth of the soil please?
And also please how can I send my model in order for you to check may be there is something I didn't pay attention at.
Thank you very much in advance
