Hi,
I created a model of pile foundation on a wharf. The horizontal displacement on both sides is fixed using line displacements, while the vertical displacement is free. The range of line displacement is set from the horizontal plane to the bottom of the model. The horizontal and vertical displacements at the bottom of the model are fixed. Each layer of deposit soil is activated in stages. The soil model adopts a soft soil creep model and consolidation analysis. After a certain period of time, there is an uplift phenomenon in the soil near the last four piles. In theory, soil consolidation is primarily associated with settlement. Is the phenomenon of soil uplift reasonable? How can we explain it?
Thank.
