I was reading this peer-reviewed technical document (https://doi.org/10.1061/JGGEFK.GTENG-10800) and the authors are saying " The current implementation of NorSand in PLAXIS 2D does not contain an internal cap, which controls the maximum dilatancy of the soil by limiting the yield surface hardness".
However, based on what I see in the Norsand manual (PLAXIS_CEV22.00_NorSand_User_Manual), the maximum dilation and hardening limit are defined which results in an internal cap. Based on my understanding, the internal cap has been included in the current version of Plaxis.
I am not sure if I am missing something. Any further information on this matter would be appreciated. Thanks
