Dear all,
In relation to the current work on foundation moment-rotation behavior, I have the following queries.
1. The typical phase displacements of the foundation in vertical direction under large moments (contact length =L/2) is attached herewith.
I am not able to apply the scale factor in the case of phase displacements as it is necessary for a better visibility. The phase displacements plot is attached herewith.
2. Regarding the deformed mesh, It is not clear why the soil meshes are taken along with the foundation plate even in regions of NO CONTACT. The plot is attached herewith.
3. In the PLAXIS version which I have , I can use the linear elastic material only in SOIL & INTERFACES MODE . Accordingly if the footing is modelled as volume and assigned a linear elastic material
the post processing shows both the results of underlying soil and the footing BLOCK which is undesirable. How to solve this issue.??
