Hello.
Let me know which version of plaxis 3D is available for user defined soil models?
Regards.
Hi
In order to use a User Defined Soil model in PLAXIS 3D (and PLAXIS 2D), you will need the Geotechnical SELECT Entitlements. This is an additional entitlement on top of the PLAXIS entitlements.
See e.g. how to activate it: https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotechnical1/w/wiki/42958/starting-plaxis/
If you are using an older version, you would need the PLAXIS VIP module in order to use it.

Hi Micha,
Have the PM4Sand model been tested and validated for 3D applications since 2018?
Current PM4 Sand implementations (not only ours) are all defined in 2D stress space, so this model is not available for PLAXIS 3D.
As an alternative, if you want to model liquefaction in sand due to cyclic accumulation effects, you can use the UBC Sand model in PLAXIS, which is implemented as a 3D model. See also our Material Models manuals, available here: https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotech-analysis/w/plaxis-soilvision-wiki/46137/manuals---plaxis
Received an error message no. 255 in the dynamic analysis with PM4Sand to assess the interaction effect of the pile group and liquefied soils.
Three time-history records are applied to the same analysis model. We received the error message in one of the records and the other two are fine.
We're still awaiting the response to the service request (7001177688) and also opening to hear your second opinions on this.
Big Thanks.
Raymond
