Dear plaxis,
When conducting a pseudostatic analysis of a slope, the factor of safety obtained is reasonable, however, the displacements are quite questionable.
Dear Abdirahman,
That is correct. In order to get more realistic results on displacements, you need to run a dynamic analysis.
What about the pseudostatic displacements? In case, someone wants to get a quick rough idea. Are they advisable?
Thank you very much for your reply. Is there a software that you offer, that can perform sliding block analysis?
As far as I am aware this is not possible with PLAXIS software.
I will add it as a request to our developers and research department for the future. Thank you!
