Hi Everyone,
I have a problem in defining ground water table in Plaxis 3 d .
I have ground water table contour create from 3rd party software and want to import it to my plaxis 3d
In groundwater BC I only found Head option I didn't found Pressure head option . my question is , how to create complex ground water table contour in plaxis 3d ?
(I have tried to create ground water table by using water level point . but the the result is different )
Please advise
Angggie
Dear Anggie,
In Flow conditions tab, creating a water level is similar to creating a surface. You can use either the command line with the coordinates of the water level (parentheses are optional). For example:
waterlevel (0 0 3) (2 0 2) (5 0 2) (7 0 1.5) (8 0 1.5) (8 12 1.5) (7 12 1.5) (5 12 2) (2 12 2) (0 12 3)
or use the Import water level icon on the side toolbar that allows for importing a simple text file containing the coordinates of the water level. For instance:
0 0 32 0 25 0 27 0 1.58 0 1.58 12 1.57 12 1.55 12 22 12 20 12 3
Both options will give the same result.
Hi Stefanos ,
I have tried it, by inserting a number of water level points [there are probably about 70 points with different elevations] but why is it flat?
