May I ask how to handle the single soil layer with varying parameter surrounding the excavation zone? if several boreholes and field test (SPT) were conducted surrounding the excavation zone, and the samples showed that there are 4 layers of soil (FILL LAYER, ALLUVIUM, COMPLETELY DECOMPOSITED GRANITE, MODERATELY DECOMPOSITED GRANITE).
For the fill layer and MDG, the parameter E is constant. However, for Alluvium and CDG Layer, the E is varying at different sections cut as shown in the following figure.
For Plaxis 2D, we can separately analyze different section cut with the specified parameter. But, how can I handle this situation in Plaxis 3D?

Dear William,
With PLAXIS 3D you can introduce a large number of boreholes that can affect the soil stratigraphy. By adding more boreholes the soils will be defined accordingly facilitating for the different elevation that the different soil layers have in reality.
