Dear Plaxis Communities,
I am doing some dynamic analysis on a plaxis 3D. After two days of analysis, unfortunately, the electricity of my office was out and the project was obviously lost. I usually select the "maximum number of steps stored" equal to the number of seconds of the considered earthquake ( i.e. earthquake = 45 sec --> max number of steps stored = 45). However even if I do this, if the analysis is not completed and is not saved manually, it seems to me that I have lost all intermediate results.
I would like to ask if there is a possibility to save automatically at intermediate steps the analysis to prevent some other future problem.
Thank you
Regards
Dear Fausto,
The simplest is to run the following set of commands that ensures that when the calculation finishes it is also saved. This can be done via the Commands runner window.
calculatesave
For long analyses, you can do the same, but per phase:
calculate Phase_1savecalculate Phase_2savecalculate Phase_3save(etc.)
The above are mentioned in this article: communities.bentley.com/.../change-temporary-folder-for-intermediate-calculation-data-files
