After performing the safety analysis, I have observed that the bending moment in the plate is higher the capacity, so I limited the BM using elastoplastic material property as below.
This reduced the FOS but in safety analysis the bending moment of the plate is higher than the limit (provided 98.30 but calculated 103.4), what is the reason for that?
Probably your mesh is coarse around your maximum. Due to extrapolation of internal stress points to nodal values. you could see this when the mesh is too coarse combined with large gradients of this bending moment. Note that the maximum plastic capacity in determined correctly at the stress point level of the Mindling beam (plate) element.For more details, please check the Mindlin beam element in the material models manual.
