Dear Sirs,
Can anyone give us advice about importing *.ifc files to Plaxis 3D? We are trying to import a volume tunnel according manual instructions, using specified supported types (ifcwall, ifcbeam, ifcslab) but without succes. Our intention is to get a unique volum for each tunnel.
Thanks in advance!
Hello Francesc,
Sorry to hear that you could not successfully import the files. Have you tried creating a service request? Then, we can give a look at the importable and see why it is not successful: https://apps.bentley.com/srmanager/ProductSupport
In principle, you can choose which files to import and therefore it will be possible to import them as separate objects.
Hello Stefanos,
We are trying some BIM export options before submit a service request.
Is there more information about IFC import in the Manual than a couple of pages in Reference Manual?
Thanks
Francesc
Hello again,
Based on your description it seems you are trying to import the geometry to PLAXIS 3D. In that case, you can possibly export to a different file format, such as STP or DXF and import those to PLAXIS.
