Hello all...
I need to use GSK material in Plaxis, I can not find it in Plaxis, so I was thinking maybe Mohr-Coulomb or Hoek-Brown could be used and modified to give GSK behaviour, is it possible?
Thanks,
Mina
Dear Mina,
Apologies, can you please explain what the GSK material is? Reading the abbreviation, it does not ring a bell.
Dear Stefanos,
Thank you for your reply,
The GSK model is similar to the Hoek-Brown model in that a curved yield surface is used in place ofthe Mohr-Coulomb yield surface. It is shown in the below paper,, section 4 and figures 3 and 4.

If there is no shortcut, i was wondering if it is possible to define new material laws into plaxis...
Thank you,
You can always define your own User Defined Soil Models. Here's an article with more information about it (also found in our manuals): communities.bentley.com/.../plaxis-user-defined-soil-models
