The staged construction/flow condition settings (activate/deactivate soils, load values, water levels, activate/deactivate structural elements) are applied incorrectly in some phases after saving and reloading a project in 2D 2017.00. This is now fixed in PLAXIS 2D 2017.01
This problem can occur in cases that:
In principle, the Safety phase and its previous/parent phase are identical. PLAXIS internally assigns a number to every created phase (Phase_x.Number). This number is not necessarily the same as the one displayed in Phases explorer window. If the internal number of a Safety phase is lower than the internal number of its previous phase, the staged construction settings are incorrectly applied to the wrong phase when loading the model. This results in a mix up of these staged construction settings.
In order to check the internal phase numbering, use this command:
tabulate Phases "Number"
This issue has no impact on Output unless you re-calculate the model.
The problem is already fixed for PLAXIS 2D 2017.01
When using PLAXIS 2D 2017.00 this workaround can be followed:
For example, in the following project eleven (11) dummy phases should be added in order to be consistent with the number of the omitted phases:
