Subscription Entitlement Service is Bentley's process for product activation, activating our user's digital workflows and improving our licensing capabilities with many features (for more details on the general principles of Subscription Entitlement Service, see here)
This form of licensing is used for all PLAXIS packages (including CONNECT Edition V20 and later). You will need to ensure the following:
- CONNECTION Client installed and running
- This will be displayed in your status bar
- You are signed in to the CONNECTION Client (link) with your CONNECT credentials

- A PLAXIS version built for Subscription Entitlement Service has been installed or suitable version has been updated with the CONNECTION Client. This includes:
- PLAXIS 2D 2023.1 (and later)
- PLAXIS 3D 2023.1 (and later)
- PLAXIS Monopile Designer 2023 (and later)
- PLAXIS 2D CONNECT Edition V20 (and later)
- PLAXIS 3D CONNECT Edition V20 (and later)
- PLAXIS MoDeTo CONNECT Edition V20
- PLAXIS Monopile Designer CONNECT Edition V21
- PLAXIS 2D/3D LE CONNECT Edition V21 (and later)
- PLAXIS Designer CONNECT Edition V21
