    One-dimensional evaporation

    Application PLAXIS 2D
    PLAXIS 3D
    Version PLAXIS 2D
    PLAXIS 3D 2016
    Date created 22 January 2013
    Date modified 22 January 2013

This document describes an example that has been used to verify the unsaturated flow capabilities of PLAXIS. The problem involves the steady-state solution of the suction head for the case of uniform constant evaporation in unsaturated media.

    Used version:

    • PLAXIS 2D: 2018.00 | 2016.01 | 2015.00
    • PLAXIS 3D: 2018.00 | 2016.00

This requires a PlaxFlow module for transient groundwater flow
