    Bearing capacity of ground anchors

    Application PLAXIS 3D
    Version PLAXIS 3D
    Date created 03 December 2012
    Date modified 03 December 2012

This document describes an example that has been used to verify the bearing capacity of the ground anchors in PLAXIS 3D. The test is performed with a ground anchor in loose sand as well as in dense sand. The skin friction along the grout body is considered to be either constant or linear for both soil material models.
