Vertical dynamic response of a footing

    Application PLAXIS 2D
    PLAXIS 3D
    Version PLAXIS 2D
    PLAXIS 3D
    Date created 07 January 2013
    Date modified 07 January 2013

This document describes an example that has been used to verify that the dynamic response of a footing is correctly calculated in PLAXIS. For that purpose the response of a rigid circular footing subjected to a vertical harmonic load is studied.

Model geometry, generated mesh and dynamic boundary conditions

    • PLAXIS 3D: 2018.00 | 2016.01 | AE.01

     This requires a Dynamics module
