Problem description

The report generator as part of the 2D Classic Output program that was installed with PLAXIS 2D AE.00 cannot create a report in PDF, HTML or RTF format: after selecting the options to include in the report and clicking on Export, the next step of the report generation process is not launched.

Solution

This issue has been resolved with the release of PLAXIS 2D AE.01. When installing PLAXIS 2D AE.01, the correctly working PLAXIS 2D Classic Report Generator will be installed.

The report generator of PLAXIS 2D 2012.01 works correctly, and can be used to repair the 2D Classic installation.
The PLAXIS 2D2012.01 report generator can be downloaded via the link below.

To correctly install this, please follow these steps:

1. Download the ReportGenerator.exe file via the link below
2. Go to the PLAXIS 2D Classic program folder. This folder can usually be found here:
   C:Program Files (x86)PlaxisPLAXIS 2DCLASSIC
3. Replace the ReportGenerator.exe with the downloaded 2D2012.01 version

Note that the Report Generator in PLAXIS 2D AE works correctly and can also be used to overcome this issue. Switching to PLAXIS 2D AE can be done by converting the PLAXIS 2D 2012/Classic project in PLAXIS 2D AE.
