Issue #20858
Date created28 February 2014
Date modified24 October 2016

Problem description

After importing geometry from an external file (e.g. dxf, dwg, txt) in PLAXIS 2D AE.00 while the model already contains soil layers and/or geometry, the Plaxis project data may contain some incorrect data. This incorrect data prevents the correct opening of the file when loading it later, and then shows a bug report message.

Solution

This issue is now resolved in PLAXIS 2D AE.01

In some cases, this work around solved the problem in PLAXIS 2D AE.00:

  1. Start a new project
  2. Do not add any geometry yet, but directly import the geometry file
  3. Now save the Plaxis project
  4. And reload this Plaxis project (Open file)
  5. Now you can continue with modelling, e.g. adding soil layers, structural elements and loads and performing calculations.
