Problem description
Since PLAXIS 2D AE, user defined soil model (UDSM) dll files need to be placed in a subfolder of the installation folder called udsm in order for the Plaxis programs to find this dll file and load it.
However, the PLAXIS Soiltest application does not (yet) check for UDSM dll files in this udsm subfolder, but it still looks directly in the main installation folder.
If the UDSM dll is not present in the main installation folder of PLAXIS 2D AE, the SoilTest application will give an error (“execution of the test 2.“) when running the actual soil test calculation.
Solution
This issue is now solved since PLAXIS 2D 2015.00: the UDSM dll file only needs to be present in the udsm subfolder.
For PLAXIS 2D AE, in order for the UDSM dll file to be recognized by Plaxis SoilTest, please copy the (32-bit) UDSM dll file from the udsm subfolder to the main installation folder. Now the SoilTest application will be able to find the file, and can perform the SoilTest calculation
