Date modified22 November 2018

Problem description

In PLAXIS 2D Output you may notice that when applying a point load, the Output program will also display a circular arrow that represents a Moment load on this point.
However, in PLAXIS 2D 2018.00′s Output, this display is not correct: even when defining a zero Moment load in the Input program, or when the Moment load is not applied to plate elements or embedded beam rows, the Output program still displays this circular arrow.

Incorrect Moment load display in PLAXIS Output: arrow pointing clockwise

In PLAXIS 2D 2018.00 Output, this input value for this Moment load is not read correctly, and gives the following incorrect behaviour:

Moment load value in load information table

Solution

This issue is now resolved in PLAXIS 2D 2018.01

In PLAXIS 2D 2018.00, when checking the applied moment load values, please refer to the Input program to inspect the applied Moment load.
