Problem description

In PLAXIS 2D 2018.00 Output, it might be that a bug report occurs while generating a report using the Report generator. This can happen in cases that an Embedded beam row material exists in your material database and the Material Information is included in the report generator.
Please check the screenshot below.

When trying to send the Embedded beam row material info to the report, or when trying to directly print or copy the Embedded beam row material dataset, something goes wrong in PLAXIS 2D 2018.00, resulting in the generation of this bug report. This prevents this data to be used in the report generation, printing and copying.

Solution

This is now fixed for PLAXIS 2D 2018.01

In PLAXIS 2D 2018.00, if an Embedded beam row material exists in the database of the project, it is recommended to not include the Material Information while generating a report.

As a workaround for PLAXIS 2D 2018.00, the Material Information for the rest of the types (Soil & Interfaces, Plates, Geogrids and Anchors) can be copied from the Material database (see screenshot) and can be added to the report manually.

Please keep in mind that this workaround cannot be applied to the Embedded beam row (EBR) materials since this material type is triggering the bug report. If it is needed to add the properties of the Embedded beam row materials, please follow these steps:

1. Execute the echo materials command as to inspect how many EBR materials (an EmbeddedBeam2DMat) are present in the database and under which name: 
2. Execute the echo <name of the EBR material>¹⁾ command. e.g.

   echo Tutorial03GroutBody

   

3. PLAXIS will return all the defined properties of the EBR material, please copy them.
4. Then, you can add this data to the report manually by pasting it.
5. Repeat the aforementioned steps for all the EBR materials.
