When right-clicking an object in the PLAXIS 2D and PLAXIS 3D geometry view, or in the Model Explorer, Selection Explorer or Phase Explorer, a pop-up will be presented with first the name of the clicked object in bold, and then the most used options available for that object.

One handy feature is when clicking the name in the pop-up menu, the name will be copied to the clipboard. This can be used then easily in e.g. the command line. This is especially useful for those automatically created long object names when defining calculation phases, or when optimizing the Finite Element mesh.

This copy-to-clipboard option also works for any item in the Phases Explorer tree, in the Model Explorer tree, and in the Selection Explorer tree.

Multi-select

This feature for obtaining the names from the pop-up menu also works for a multi-select: when clicking the Selection item from the pop-up menu, all names of the selected items will be copied to the clipboard.
