On the Plaxis Knowledge Base / Support section, we have made command log files (*.p2dxlog for PLAXIS 2D, *.p3dlog for PLAXIS 3D) available for e.g. Tutorial examples or Validation and Verification cases. It is very easy to execute such log files either by 1) copying and pasting or 2) save the command log file and open it in the Commands Runner.

Option 1: Copy and paste command log files

When clicking on a log file link, in most Internet browsers, you will see the content of this file as a list of commands. You can just copy the content of this log file directly from your browser and paste it in the Commands Runner (available via the Expert > Run Commands... menu item).

Tip: paste command log content to run

Option 2: Download and execute

It is also possible to download the log file and run the saved log file from your computer:

Tip: save command log file

Then, in the Commands Runner window, load this commands log file, and execute it:

Tip: load/open command log file to run

Troubleshooting

Note: the Commands Runner is a Geotechnical SELECT Entitlement [GSE]-feature (formerly known as PLAXIS VIP). Without this GSE, you can open the command log file with any text editor, like Notepad, and then execute the commands via the command line command-by-command.
