When using a PLAXIS 2D Limit Equilibrium model, it is now easier to continue your analysis directly in PLAXIS 2D to run a Finite Element calculation. With the release of PLAXIS 2D CONNECT Edition V21 (January 2021), it is not possible to load in PLAXIS 2D LE and SOILVISION SV Slope models directly in PLAXIS 2D to quickly run a Finite Element calculation.
The PLAXIS LE model importer now imports soil volumes/geometry, structural elements and soil materials with supported parameters, including colours, weight and shear strength for a quick and easy workflow that limits manual redefining data.
A new digital workflow has been improved in order to bring the Limit Equilibrium Method slip surface analysis closer to a PLAXIS Finite Element Method calculation: importing SOILVISION’s SVSLOPE models directly into PLAXIS 2D is now possible (Oct 2020), including the conversion of any support into PLAXIS 2D structural elements.
