Problem description

PLAXIS LE importer incorrectly converts any objects when having a comma (" , ") as a decimal symbol.

The following error, for instance, is generated when node-to-node anchor and embedded beam row objects were imported to PLAXIS LE, as a comma is used as a decimal symbol in coordinates (common setting in European countries, and other countries as well).

In countries where the decimal point (" . ") is used as a decimal symbol, this error does not appear and import works fine.

Solution

This issue is now resolved since the release of PLAXIS 2D CONNECT Edition Version 22.00.

In Windows 10 OS, change the settings: Region > Related settings > Additional settings > Decimal symbol > from comma to a point.

Using the same example, as shown above, when using the "default" settings with a comma as the decimal separator, importing the model works fine as displayed below:
