Dear gINT Users,
It has been awhile since my last post updating you.
As I have stated, Bentley has been working closely with Microsoft on this issue. That has not changed.
Since our my last post, the root cause has been identified, a proper fix implemented, and initial testing have proved successful.
Bentley and Microsoft will continue to test this fix, and a fix should be available shortly.
Please continue to watch this space, and we will alert you to additional information regarding the fix.
I was also effected by this update but now it's clear. However, there are some gaming sites that are giving full review of it.
It can be hard to tell from a single screen shot. We recommend, regardless, to upgrade to the most current version of gINT available from Bentley's software Fulfillment center.
Additionally, you may want to check the version of Windows you are on, and see if you have any of the KB mentioned in previous post (The link to the known KBs causing the issue is here).
If you are still having issues with this after upgrading gINT, or need help with your files after upgrading, please place a service request through our Service Request Manager so we can best assist you:
Service Request Manager at http://apps.bentley.com/srmanager/
Is this error included in the fix? I can't tell if this is the same as what other people have experienced. After going through all of the prompts/errors that follow (this pops up for multiple tables and i click OK), the tables in the project are empty.
thanks i found the solution to my question here https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotechnical1/b/geoblog/posts/fix-for-gint-users-affected-by-the-january-8-microsoft-patch-has-been-released myprepaidcenter
Hi Andrew, I am not sure if you have seen, but Microsoft did release a fix. The announcement is here: communities.bentley.com/.../fix-for-gint-users-affected-by-the-january-8-microsoft-patch-has-been-released
have tried some troubleshoot stuff with the guidance of Microsoft expert not official but they have some deep knowledge even they fail to fix it man,
The work arounds we suggest are listed in the blog here: communities.bentley.com/.../additional-information-and-a-workaround-for-users-affected-by-the-microsoft-patch
We only recommend uninstalling the patch, if possible. If not, the other workaround we have listed is suggested for projects that need to be worked on (not all gINT projects) until the fix from Microsoft is available.
If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach out to me: firstname.lastname@example.org.
I did some research on this. It looks like many of us are facing a similar issue when it comes to this configuration of myprepaidcenter and windows 7 professional.
We are expreincing the same issue on multiple computers. We are using Windows 7 profesional and Gint Version 8.30.02.39 with Somat Engineering Inc. Should we attempt the patches above?
