gINT 10.00.00.60 Announcement

Dear gINT Users,

We are aware of an issue with gINT build 10.00.00.60 which was released January 18, 2018.

This version was pulled from SELECT on March 2, 2018.

The issue affects all levels of gINT (Logs, Professional, and Professional Plus).

You can check your gINT version by going to Windows Settings => Apps and scrolling down to gINT. The version is written there.

If you have version 10.00.00.60 installed, the error involves gINT finding the registry file. Symptoms of the error are:

Upon opening gINT (or closing gINT, a run time error appears.  “Run-time error '-2146233088 (80131500)” appears and gINT closes. Additional information can include

  1. Error in gINT_Software.Library.Settings.UserSettings.Save:Error in .ctor : Access to the path 'C:\Users\Public\Documents\Bentley\gINT\System\settings\registry.xml' is denied.
  2. Error in gINT_Software.Library.Settings.UserSettings.Save:Error in .ctor : Could not find a part of the path ‘C:\...\settings\registry.xml’.
  3. Error in gINT _Software.Library.Settings.UserSettings.Load:Objecr reference not set to an instance of an object.
  4. There may be other variations regarding the registry.

Additionally, it is possible that after closing, there is still a version of gINT running in the background of the user’s PC. This can affect licensing and count as additional license usage.

Also gINT may not run again unless the new registry file is deleted.

If gINT is running in the background of a machine, users can close it from the Task Manager.

The registry error will not corrupt data files.

The solution, until we post a version with the solution to this issue, is to uninstall gINT version 10.00.00.60 and install gINT version 10.00.00.50. gINT version 10.00.00.50 does not have this issue.

Please know that we are currently addressing the issue and are working to post a new version with the resolution. The updated version will address this specific issue only. We will notify users when the updated version is posted.
