gINT has had the reproducible issue above when running on some Windows 10 versions. Often, the splash screen appears and then gINT closes. It does not proceed to the product.
We believe it is caused by specific versions of Windows 10 and an update from April 2019. We are currently working with Microsoft for a resolution to this issue.
Workaround:
The current workaround is to run gINT in compatibility mode.
Microsoft posted directions here.
We have created a short video to help users here.
Please include the Windows 10 version you are using. If you do not know which version of Windows 10 you are using, you can read directions here to assist you.
Windows Versions known so far for the issue to occur:
Windows Version
Windows 10 version 1809
Windows 10 version 1803
Phil, is this still the last word on the solution?
I had this recently on one PC. The solution I followed to resolve it is here
docs.datgel.com/.../microsoft-access-database-engine
我也遇到这个问题了,以上方法没有解决,前几天我把office2010版卸载了,gint就突然神奇的启动了,推测可能是gint与office2010间存在冲突。
Hi Matt, you may find that posting your questions to the discussion forum would be responded to quicker as blog articles like this are not monitored as often. It would helpful to post a link to this blog article as reference.

Has there been any update to this? So far in our company it has been at least 1809 as we have never fully pushed out 1803. A Windows .dll file RICHED20.DLL is what's causing the crash.
Hi Ben,
First question is: did you try what Phil suggested above? If not, please do so. And let me know. You can email me directly at katie.aguilar@bentley.com. Thank you.

Windows 1803 User here, 64 bit processor
I am receiving the following error when clicking the destop icon:
Startup.ProgramInitialize
gINT
Outofmemory
I have tried the compatibility mode workarounds suggested here, but not sure if the error I am receiving is related to that or not. I have 8G of RAM installed and only using 7.49, so I dont think that my RAM or HD space is an issue.
Thanks!
The suggestions above don't always work. I found that on two PCs this close at splash screen started happening after the user select gINT Pro Plus form the Help menu. I could resolve it by clearing the product number set in "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Bentley\gINTCL\System\select.ini", then gINT Pro would open. But on these PCs I could not get gINT Pro Plus to start.
